I hope that in the next version the search will be more flexible, right now I keep having to go over half the spell list to find what I want because the spell's effect isn't always part of the search terms so the search is essentially useless to me.
For example "mana" does find Still Reflection, but it doesn't find Brilliance.
Cool concept but it gets ridiculously complicated later on, I guess this game is for a very specific kind of person who likes managing Excel spreadsheets
Hi Marple. I am playing Orb of Creation on Mac and I would like to know if you will keep updated the game in this site once the next version gets out of beta. I dont mind paying for it, it's money well spent. However, it seems that the steam version is not compatible with Mac.
I'd like to play the newest beta version here instead of having to shell out $$$$ for what is, essentially an unknown quantity (I'm told beta 0.6 is a radical overhaul)
increasing to 125% would mean that each unit counts as 1.25 units instead, reducing the costs to 80%, and likewise improving gains indirectly by having less drain on the resource.
Perseverance is supposed to increase the effect of Wisdom but it instead decreases it, I went from 18k mana to 8k by upgrading it a bunch not realizing its working wrong, now my multi-hour game is borked,
i have a save file that doesn't load on the last version, it works on the 0.4.5 version but not in the one on steam, is there any way to get my save back on the last update?
You technically could if you were to download the game on steam. all- or most, i believe- games have an update history, and you can download every version individually. I don't know how to do it on Itch.IO, but I'm sure it'd be possible.

Ooooh I was just hoping I could play this on my phone in browser, it actually does work but the screen is offset by a bit so I can't see the whole game screen, seems like you could actually play in browser on mobile if I was able to make the screen a little zoomed out
This might be the most addictive game I've ever played. I am more easily addicted to games than most people, but in this game there is ALWAYS another upgrade or new mechanic right around the corner. You have done a great job creating a game that is compelling, stylish, and polished. It's great work. But I've just spent half a week playing this game and neglecting myself and my work. This game is dangerous, and I regret trying it.
Just updated and I can no longer access the game- tried reinstalling, deleting the folder, everything- either it opens the folder or it opens a black screen with a defunct Fullscreen button. Can you try and fix this, or make a way to access 0.4.0 again so that we can still play on that version during the wait?

Um, all my progress is suddenly gone. Was there on Friday, but as of today, it's all gone.

What does it mean when it says "Improve x quality"?
it means to improve how much x is worth per unit.

So in short, it makes things that use x cost less, right?
The game is horribly broken, I click launch and all that happens is a gray screen and a useless "Fullscreen" button.
The game isn't broken; this is just it loading. If you wait for a bit, the game will have loaded, and you can use the full screen button.

perseverance reduced your mana capacity because it reduced your current amount of thaumaturgy.
This is really cool! I like the unique take on incremental games.

I liked the game a bit better when alchemy did not level up like spells. Also, when the artifacts could level up.

It's less manipulative and a better game than other incremental games I've played, but it's every bit as dangerous
